Telecommunications is rapidly evolving toward 5G Advanced and 6G, creating new use cases and increasing R&D demands that require open and collaborative approaches.
OpenRIT 6G focuses on vendor-neutral, open infrastructures including virtualized and modular platforms, AI-enabled tools, and portable testbeds to accelerate innovation and standardization.
Alignment of 5G Advanced and 6G laboratory research roadmaps
Sharing reusable toolkits and reference testbeds
Harmonization of concepts, interfaces, and protocols
Acceleration of trustworthy and cost-effective 6G R&D
The workshop brings together leading researchers and lab directors from Europe, Asia, and the United States to exchange practical experience and research insights.
Participants will engage directly with experts from institutions such as Fraunhofer FOKUS, Sorbonne University, the University of Tokyo, and Northeastern University, fostering meaningful international collaboration.
This workshop is intended for researchers, laboratory leaders, and technical experts working on 5G Advanced, 6G, open network architectures, and experimental research platforms.
Attendance is by invitation only to ensure focused discussion and effective coordination among participating institutions.
