In this talk, Dr. Sameh Yamany will present VIAVI’s latest innovations across advanced 6G emulation frameworks, AI-native optimization techniques, and next-generation testing solutions, including digital twin networks. Biography
Dr. Sameh Yamany is a visionary technology leader and Chief Technology and AI Officer at VIAVI Solutions, where he drives global innovation across AI, 5G/6G, quantum communications, and advanced network testing. With over 25 years of transformative impact, he has pioneered billion-dollar technologies spanning telecom, biomedical engineering, cloud automation, and AI-driven network assurance—bridging deep R&D with real-world deployment. Prior to VIAVI, he served as CEO of Trendium, redefining telecom customer analytics and leading the company to successful acquisition, and held senior leadership roles at Tektronix Communications, following an early career in academia as a computer science professor. Dr. Yamany holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Louisville, is the author of Understanding 5G, and holds numerous patents and publications across AI, telemedicine, and advanced network systems. A globally recognized thought leader—known for his vision of “AI testing AI”—he is a sought-after speaker who continues to shape the future of intelligent, secure, and resilient digital infrastructure.
